Jane Goodall Says That We Are Poisoning Ourselves With GMO’s

Jane Goodall makes a strong statement against GMO's.
During her talk, Goodall came out in full opposition of genetically modified organisms and crops.
“We’re poisoning the land, we’re poisoning animals, and I truly believe we’re poisoning ourselves. Have we been affected? What about the rise of certain illnesses and complaints in the human community, what about the increase in allergies, what about the increase of some kinds of mental disorders?” Goodall said.
Goodall is most well known for her work with primates, and her 55-year study of social and family interactions of wild chimpanzees in Gombe Stream National Park, Tanzania.
As we have been reporting recently, the movement against GMO’s is growing rapidly and causing a steady decline in profits and sales for the biotech industry. Companies like Monsanto have even been caught hiring people to discredit activists, because so many people are beginning to reject their products.
A new report from the health organization Environmental Working Group released last year dispels many of the myths that have been propagated by biotechnology companies in defense of GMO’s.
Many proponents of GMO’s suggest that the technology will “feed the world” by yielding larger crops, however, the new report is said to debunk these claims, showing that traditional farming methods are “shown to actually increase food supplies and reduce the environmental impact of production.”
