Sounding a lot like Rodney King of the Los Angeles riots of 25 years ago when he tried to salve America’s racial divide by saying “can’t we all just get along”, entertainer Katy Perry opined in response to the recent terrorist attack in Manchester, England that “we just need to coexist”.  A noble idea worthy of merit, if only our enemies in the world of extremist Islam would play along.

Sadly I suspect Miss Perry’s suggestion will fall on the deaf ears of those who are intent on destroying Western culture, and imposing their fanatical extreme religious beliefs on the rest of the world.  You see, the radical extremists we are fighting are not interested in “coexisting”.

Former President George W. Bush discovered that on September 11, 2001.  A date that far too many in this country, and in particular far too many in the entertainment industry have forgotten all about.  Or perhaps instead of forgetting they’ve simply distorted the memory of that date to place all the blame for the brutal murder of 3,000 Americans on the “policies of the U.S. government”, and not on the “peace-loving Muslims” of the world.

It seems to be the ‘default’ for far too many liberals and people on the left who have benefitted so much from the opportunities that this country has given them to succeed in their chosen field.  Blaming America is much easier than accepting and facing the fact that there are evil people in this world who want to kill us.  And kill us simply because we believe differently from them.  It has nothing to do with the policies of the U.S. government.  It never has.

Once people accept that fact, then understanding how to deal with the threat of international radical Islamic terrorism becomes much simpler.  The choice is obvious, we kill them or we submit and allow them to subjugate our society and our culture.  And kill us for not adhering to their rules.

And the folks out on the left coast probably need to consider that all of the so-called “social justice” issues they approve of and support likely would be the first casualties of a society dominated by extremist Islamic beliefs.

When homosexuals are being tossed off of tall buildings simply because of who they are, and when women are beaten and even killed in the name of “family honor” simply for wanting an education or to love a man of their choice, the options we have are pretty clear to me.  Kill the radical Islamic extremists, or be killed by them.  There is no ‘negotiating’ with pure evil.  British Prime Minister Chamberlain discovered that way back in the late 1930s.

The way forward in this multi-generational struggle with radical Islam will continue to be difficult.  We’ve made many mistakes since September 11, 2001, and likely will make more in the future.  But the focus must remain on the complete destruction and annihilation of radical extremists from the face of the earth.

President Trump in his speech referred to those responsible for the Manchester attack as “losers”.  That might be so, considering what has come out about the Manchester bomber it sounds like a fair description.  But I’m more inclined to refer to them as ‘disgusting pigs and swine’.  It just seems a much more appropriate insult to me considering their aversion to anything to do with that type of farm animal.

And in my opinion, one of the ways we defeat radical Islamic terrorists is to show them the disdain in which we hold them and their ideas.  That along with quite a few well-placed MOAB’s will go a long way towards defeating this despicable enemy.  Now before anyone accuses me of being “Islamaphobic” let me acknowledge that we also need the help of Muslim-American patriots in defeating this enemy.  They have played and will continue to play a vital role.

So in regards to Miss Perry’s desires to “coexist” I would certainly agree that would be great if it can be achieved. But I would add that I only want to coexist with those who will respect our culture, our society, and our religious beliefs.  If they are unwilling to do so and wish to impose their way of life on us, then they are welcome to coexist with another MOAB, if only for a brief instant.
