China Soon to Have 50% Elderly

Vol. 19, No. 2, January 14, 2016
China Soon to Have 50% Elderly
Dear Colleague,

World population continues to age and this continues to pose enormous problems for policy makers. Think about grandmother. She is not an engine of economic growth — new cars, new washing machines — but she is a huge consumer of healthcare resources.  Now project this across entire populations and you have almost insurmountable economic problems. Stefano Gennarini reports on the UN’s latest population projections. The elderly population of China is projected to grow from 12% today to, get this, 50% in a few years. That spells disaster not just for China but for the world. Way to go, population controllers!

Perhaps reflecting the downturn in support for abortion, when Planned Parenthood released its best and worst list for 2015 fully half of them were not about abortion at all but about things homosexual. The homosexual agenda is a huge money agenda, so it is clear Planned Parenthood is hoping to scoop some of those dollars into their coffers.  I report on that.

At Turtle Bay and Beyond Susan Yoshihara reports more about China, their two-child policy is still coercive. Is anyone surprised?

Spread the word. Be Brave.

Yours sincerely,

Austin Ruse
President
