Ongoing Massive Cyberattack: Europe Is Hit By New Blackmail Virus Attack
Following the trend of other recent attacks, hackers have launched a battery of ransomware attacks across the world, mainly against targets in America, the United Kingdom, and Russia. It has been titled the Petya ransomware, and it hijacks target computers and encrypts their files. The user must then pay a ransom to release the files. One of the most recent targets was the system that monitors ongoing radiation levels in the Chernobyl area. This caused sensors to go offline for a period of time. WPP, a massive advertising agency located in the UK was also impacted. It is theorized that commonly used accounting software common to the targets was the means used to distribute the attack so widely and meaning that many business systems were taken offline. In the Ukraine, the country’s infrastructure was the first to identify problems, including power services, the international airport, and national banks. The initial ransomware attack was named WannaCry and caused huge damage to the NHS which affected users in the hundreds of thousands. The problem is that many important pieces of infrastructure still use outdated operating systems as it is not realistic to upgrade them. ISIS Losing the Battle But Winning The War?
ISIS Losing the Battle But Winning The War?
By Giulio Meotti/Gatestone Institute June 27, 2017 Share this article:
The Islamic State is crumbling -- if too slowly. More than two
years have passed since French President François Hollande promised, "We
will bomb Raqqa". Sooner or later, ISIS will probably be reduced to a
small enclave with no territorial continuity, and its chief, Abu Bakr al
Baghdadi, will be eliminated.
It would,
nevertheless, be most dangerous to dismiss these three years as a short
parenthesis: Nazism did not last as long: "just" 12 years in power and
five at war with the rest of Europe. The physical and cultural
consequences of the Nazi tyranny are, unfortunately, still visible in
Europe.
The same will be said of the Islamic
State. Three years of terror and conquests are not bad in for a war
between the Caliphate vs. everyone else.
ISIS
will leave behind an unprecedented terrorist infrastructure (277
Europeans killed on European soil in two years). If ISIS is retreating
in Mosul, it is rapidly advancing in Manchester.
The
Caliphate is winning its war in Europe. Six months ago in the Britain,
the rise of Jeremy Corbyn, the ultra-pacifist Labour party leader who
blamed the "war on terror" for the recent attacks in Manchester and
London, would have been unthinkable. His success is clearly linked to
the recent bloodshed in British streets.
In the
West, ISIS has assailed parliaments in Ottawa, cafés in Copenhagen,
beaches in Nice, social centers in San Bernardino, metros and airports
in Brussels, music festivals in Manchester, theaters, sports stadiums,
restaurants and kosher markets in Paris, churches in Rouen, Christmas
markets in Berlin, malls in Stockholm. Not bad for a "JV team", as
Barack Obama called the Caliphate.
ISIS has been an unparalleled attraction for the umma,
the world community of the Islamic faithful: about 30,000 Muslims around
the world -- 6,000 from Europe -- have left their homes to fight under
the deadly black flag of the Caliph.
ISIS was
able to build a global network of terror. Jihadist groups such as Ansar
Bayt al-Maqdis in Egypt, Abu Sayyaf in the Philippines, Ansar al-Sharia
in Libya, Boko Haram in Nigeria, the Caucasus Emirate in Russia, and the
Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, along with others, have all pledged
allegiance to ISIS.
The Caliphate has also
become the wealthiest terror group in history. Sebastian Gorka, a White
House advisor on radical Islam, said: "The attacks of September 11,
2001, cost barely $500,000. ISIS makes that in six hours! Do you feel
safe?"
ISIS has made evil viral. The world was
stunned when ISIS submerged the Western imagination in the public
executions of journalists, the massacres of captured troops, markets for
sexual slavery, executions of gays, and public drownings, burning
people alive and crucifixions.
"Never before
in history have terrorists had such easy access to the minds and
eyeballs of millions", wrote Brendan Koerner, noting that "ISIS is
winning the social media war".
Often, evil
works. A few weeks ago, in Paris, a Jewish woman, Sarah Halimi was
killed by a Muslim shouting "Allahu Akbar". The case was barely covered
by the mainstream press.
Then several French
intellectuals demand the authorities to denounce it as a case of
anti-Semitism. ISIS's threats are now so intense that even academic
experts of Islam, such as Gilles Kepel, are under police protection.
In
a few months, the Islamic State cleared the historic colonial border of
Sykes-Picot, conquered half of Syria, destroyed entire cities of prices
antiquities such as Palmyra, reached the periphery of Baghdad, and
kicked out the Iraqi army, in which the United States had invested 25
billion dollars.
That is why many counter-terrorism analysts are intelligently asking if "ISIS is winning".
ISIS's
main legacy, however, is devastation -- both cultural and human. ISIS
has been successful in making a blank slate, a sort of Islamic "year
zero," in which, after an apocalypse, history will start again --
supposedly virgin and pure.
The Caliphate will
leave behind a Middle East more and more Islamic, not only in the
landscape, but also in demography. ISIS swept away entire non-Muslim
communities that will never return.
Many
Christian and Yazidi towns within its orbit will remain permanently
empty due to the slaughter, the exile and the disappearance of
survivors. The Islamic State has been able to destroy the ancient
Christian community of Mosul.
A new study
published in the weekly magazine Plos Medicine concluded that around
10,000 members of the ethnic and religious Yazidi minority were killed.
The researchers estimated that 6,800 other Yazidis were kidnapped, with
more than one third still missing.
"Christianity
in Iraq is over", said Canon Andrew White, the great Anglican vicar of
Baghdad. ISIS succeeded, for the first time in 2000 years, in cancelling
Christian communion in Nineveh.
Professor
Amal Marogy, a native of Iraq, said, at a conference at the Hudson
Institute, that while infrastructure such as the Mosul Dam can be saved
from ISIS, the eradication of the Christian presence in Iraq means "the
end of a peaceful civilization".
There are commentators who are now noting that "ISIS wins when Christians leave the Middle East".
The
jihadist recently vandalized ancient Roman statues and artifacts at the
Syrian archaeological site of al-Salhiye, known as Dura Europos. ISIS
devastated the most famous capitals of ancient Mesopotamia, from Nimrud
to Hatra.
"This destruction is unprecedented
in recent history", according to Marina Gabriel, coordinator of the
American Schools of Oriental Research Cultural Heritage Initiatives, an
institute that tracks the destruction of Islamic State.
The Nimrud ziggurat, built almost 2900 years ago -- the
most spectacular sacred structure known in ancient Mesopotamia -- does
not exist anymore. ISIS terrorists devastated the Mosul Public Library,
where 10,000 manuscripts were burned or stolen. ISIS also managed to
erase of the entire Jewish history of Mosul, including the tombs of
Jonah, Seth and Daniel.
The Caliphate
destroyed the first Assyrian city, Khorsabad. The greatest devastation,
however, took place in Palmyra, the most important archaeological jewel
of the Middle East. Palmyra delenda est.
The
Islamic State also eliminated thousands of years of Syrian and Iraqi
history, pulverizing exquisite ancient treasures such as the temple of
Bal.
As the Caliphate razed to the ground
everything in its path, Europe reacted as if that were just the result
of regrettable manners that should not concern her. The Islamists,
however, had other plans. Professor Paul Veyne writes in his book on
Palmyra:
"Why, in August 2015, did ISIS need to
blow up and destroy that temple of Baalshamin? Because it was a temple
where pagans before Islam came to adore mendacious idols?
No,
it was because that monument was venerated by contemporary Westerners,
whose culture includes an educated love for 'historical monuments' and a
great curiosity for the beliefs of other people and other times.
And
Islamists want to show that Muslims have a culture that is different
from ours, a culture that is unique to them. They blew up that temple in
Palmyra and have pillaged several archaeological sites in the Near East
to show that they are different from us and that they don't respect
what Western culture admires".
That is why,
after Palmyra, the Islamic State attacked music halls and other Western
symbols in Europe. The "JV team" might be losing ground, but so far it
is winning the war of civilizations.
Will the West be able not only to free Raqqa and Mosul, but also to reverse this cultural avalanche trying to crush it?

Now U.S. Government Threatens To Take All Your Cash
Now U.S. Government Threatens To Take All Your Cash
http://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=1340
WASHINGTON – In the name of fighting terrorism financing, a new U.S. Senate bill threatens to force private corporations to monitor your financial activity and empowers government to seize all your assets if you fail to comply with the new law.
Even failure to fill out one form is license for the federal government to take everything you have.
Sponsored by Sens. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., John Cornyn, R-Texas, and Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., Senate Bill 1241, "Combating Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing, and Counterfeiting Act of 2017," was introduced last month and represents what some financial experts say is a new assault on cash and digital currencies.
Proponents say it's needed to fight criminal and terrorist money laundering efforts, yet the banking institutions that will be given orders to look for evidence are themselves the primary architects of the schemes that make this activity profitable on a massive scale.
"If the bill becomes law, Americans would be subject to a whole host of government intrusions. One little slip-up would open a Pandora's box of governmental inquiry into your financial life," says Peter Reagan, a financial-market strategist at Birch Gold Group. "For example, failing to complete a single reporting form would result in the government being granted abilities to freeze and seize not just a portion, but the entirety, of your assets. The bill even goes so far as to include the contents of safety-deposit boxes."
What do YOU think? Does Senate bill allowing seizure of all your assets have a chance? Sound off in the WND Poll!
As the bill stands today, precious-metals holdings are not covered under the required declarations. Most other ‘monetary instruments' would be locked down tight.
"The war on cash and financial autonomy has been underway for some time," says Reagan. "But this bill would solidify a serious loss of freedom we've been fearing for years."
Because fighting "terrorism" is one of the purposes of the legislation, it allows any business with government ties to act as a de facto arm of the Department of Homeland Security to take your monetary assets, including Bitcoin and so-called "crypto-currencies."
Claire Bernish, an independent investigative reporter, says the bill would impose "autocratic financial controls in an attempt to ensure none of your assets can escape one of the state's most nefarious, despised powers: civil forfeiture."
"Civil forfeiture grants the government robbery writ large: your cash, property, and assets can be stolen completely sans due process, your guilt – frequently pertaining to drug ‘crimes' – matters not," Bernish says. "A court verdict of not guilty doesn't even guarantee the return of state-thefted property."

She says the bill also severely curtails the right to travel freely with more than $10,000 in cash. To do so, a citizen will need to file a report with the U.S. government. Other assets that would be at risk for violations of the law include bank accounts, prepaid cards, gift cards, prepaid phones and prepaid coupons. Violators face prison terms of 10 years.
"And if that weren't enough, this bill also gives them with new authority to engage in surveillance and wiretapping (including phone, email, etc.) if they have even a hint of suspicion that you might be transporting excess ‘monetary instruments,'" reports Simon Black of SovereignMan.com. "Usually wiretapping authority is reserved for major crimes like kidnapping, human trafficking, felony fraud, etc. Now we can add cash to that list."

The End of the (Petro) Dollar: What the Federal Reserve Doesn’t Want You to Know
The
End of the (Petro) Dollar: What the Federal
Reserve Doesn’t Want You to Know
By
Shaun Bradley
June 26, 2017 "Information Clearing House" - The United States’ ability to maintain its influence over the rest of the world has been slowly diminishing. Since the petrodollar was established in 1971, U.S. currency has monopolized international trade through oil deals with the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and continuous military interventions. There is, however, growing opposition to the American standard, and it gained more support recently when several Gulf states suddenly blockaded Qatar, which they accused of funding terrorism.
Despite the mainstream narrative, there are several other reasons why Qatar is in the crosshairs. Over the past two years, it conducted over $86 billion worth of transactions in Chinese yuan and has signed other agreements with China that encourage further economic cooperation. Qatar also shares the world’s largest natural gas field with Iran, giving the two countries significant regional influence to expand their own trade deals.
Meanwhile, uncontrollable debt and political divisions in the United States are clear signs of vulnerability. The Chinese and Russians proactively set up alternative financial systems for countries looking to distance themselves from the Federal Reserve. After the IMF accepted the yuan into its basket of reserve currencies in October of last year, investors and economists finally started to pay attention. The economic power held by the Federal Reserve has been key in financing the American empire, but geopolitical changes are happening fast. The United States’ reputation has been tarnished by decades of undeclared wars, mass surveillance, and catastrophic foreign policy.
One of
America’s best remaining assets is its
military strength, but it’s useless without
a strong economy to fund it. Rival
coalitions like the
BRICS
nations aren’t challenging the established
order head on and are instead opting to
undermine its financial support. Qatar is
just the latest country to take steps to
bypass the U.S. dollar. Russia made
headlines in 2016 when they started
accepting payments in yuan and took over as
China’s
largest oil partner,
stealing a huge market share from Saudi
Arabia in the process.
Iran also
dropped the dollar earlier this year in
response to President Trump’s travel ban. As
the tide continues to turn against the
petrodollar, eventually even our allies will
start to
question
what best serves their own interests.
Many E.U. member states are clashing with the unelected leadership in Brussels over immigration, terrorism, and austerity measures. If no solutions are found and things deteriorate, other countries could potentially follow the U.K.’s lead and vote to leave, as well. It is starting to become obvious that countries in Eastern Europe will look to the East to get the resources their economies need.
China, Russia, and India are all ahead of the curve and started stockpiling gold years ago. They recognize that hard assets will be the measure of true wealth in the near future — not fiat money. The historic hyperinflation that has occurred in these countries solidified the importance of precious metals in their monetary systems. Unfortunately, most Americans are ignorant of the past and will likely embrace more government bailouts and money printing when faced with the next recession. Even Fed officials have admitted that more quantitative easing is likely the only path going forward.
Several
renowned investors have
warned
about this ongoing shift of economic power
from West to East, but bureaucrats and
central bankers refuse to admit how serious
things could get. The impact on the average
person could be devastating if they are not
properly educated and prepared for the
fallout.
Economist and author James Rickards summarized why China and Russia are so interested in acquiring precious metals:
“They are stuck with their dollars. They fear, rightly, that the US will inflate its way out of its $19 trillion mountain of debt. China’s solution is to buy gold. If dollar inflation emerges, China’s Treasury holdings will devalue, but the dollar price of its gold will soar. A large gold reserve is a prudent diversification. Russia’s motives are geopolitical. Gold is the model 21st century weapon for financial wars. The US controls dollar payments systems and, with help from European allies, can eject adversaries from the international payments system called Swift. Gold is immune to such assaults. Physical gold in your custody cannot be hacked, erased, or frozen. Moving gold is a simple way for Russia to settle accounts without US interference.”
Mainstream pundits will continue to distract the public with the same optimistic talking points, but taking advantage of this calm before the storm is important. As this transition takes place, central bankers will sacrifice anything and everything to keep their Ponzi scheme going. Only individuals can take the initiative to protect themselves and be able to help others who won’t be as lucky. Those who embrace sound money and cryptocurrencies will thrive in this new competitive global economy, but if America fails to adapt, the same fiat system that gave it power will drag it into poverty.

House of Saudi Cards: The Inside Story
House of Saudi Cards: The Inside Story
©
Sputnik/ Mikhail Voskresenskiy
Just when geopolitical practitioners were betting on regime change in Qatar – orchestrated by a desperate House of Saud – regime change ended up happening in Riyadh, orchestrated by Warrior Prince, Destroyer of Yemen and Blockader of Qatar, Mohammad bin Salman (MBS).
Considering
the impenetrability of that desert petrodollar family oligarchy
impersonating a nation it’s up to a few foreigners granted access
to make sense of the latest Arabian Game of Thrones.
It also does not help that the “largesse” of Saudi – and Emirati –
lobbies in Washington reduces virtually every think tank and hack
in sight to abject sycophancy.
The source adds, “MBS is failing everywhere. Yemen, Syria, Qatar, Iraq, etc. are all failures of MBS. China is also displeased with MBS as he has been stirring up trouble in Xinjiang. Russia cannot be happy that MBS was and is behind the lower oil price. Who are his allies? He has only one and that is his father, who is hardly competent.” King Salman is virtually incapacitated by dementia.
According to the source, “Jared Kushner is essentially bankrupt at 666 Fifth Avenue, and needs Saudi financial help. So he is doing everything the Saudis want. 666 Fifth is in such bad financial shape that even his father-in-law cannot bail him out.”
Operation Desert Hubris
This convoluted trail of events does corroborate the famous December 2015 memo by the BND – German intelligence, according to which the House of Saud had adopted “an impulsive policy of intervention”, with then Defense Minister and Deputy Crown Prince MBS, a “gambler”, bound to cause a lot of trouble.
Some essential background is in order. What we have today is the Third Saudi kingdom — founded by Ibn Saud in 1902, keeping the same, previous noxious alliance with troglodyte Wahhabi clerics. Ibn Saud only ruled Najd in the beginning; then, in 1913, he annexed Shi’ite Eastern Arabia (that’s where the oil is), and up to 1926 Hejaz, on the Red Sea coast. A “united” Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was proclaimed only in 1932.
Ibn Saudi died in 1953. Arguably the most influential of his harem of wives was Hassa al-Sudairi. They had 7 sons together. (Demented) King Salman, Nayef and MBS are all Sudairis. MBS is the first of Ibn Saud’s grandsons within striking reach of the throne.
MBS
is betting everything on his Vision 2030 – which in theory might propel
the Saudi economy beyond oil monoculture, but implies a virtually
impossible political aggiornamento; after all the House of Saudi Cards
is un-reformable. Take the risible list of 13 demands now imposed
on Qatar – that’s MBS’s work – including the bellicose virtual
excommunication of Iran and shutting down al-Jazeera.
No wonder every major geopolitical player is now gaming war scenarios
– although only Germany stated its concerns on the record. Qatar is a
NATO observer. Doha is adamant; it won’t fold to the absurd Saudi
demands. What next; will MBS – the most dangerous “leader”
in geopolitics today – lose face or launch yet another, demented,
unwinnable and this time globally-convulsing war?
The views expressed in this article are solely those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the official position of Sputnik.
A top Middle East source close to the House of Saud,
and a de facto dissident of the Beltway consensus, minces no words;
“The CIA is very displeased with the firing of [former Crown Prince]
Mohammad bin Nayef. Mohammad bin Salman is regarded as sponsoring
terrorism. In April 2014 the entire royal families of the UAE and Saudi
Arabia were to be ousted by the US over terrorism. A compromise was
worked out that Nayef would take over running the Kingdom to stop it.”
Before
the Riyadh coup, an insistent narrative had been pervading selected
Middle East geopolitical circles according to which US intel,
“indirectly”, stopped another coup against the young Emir of Qatar,
Sheikh Tamim al-Thani, orchestrated by Mohammad bin Zayed, Crown Prince
of Abu Dhabi, with help from Blackwater/Academi's Eric Prince’s army
of mercenaries in the UAE. Zayed, crucially, happens to be MBS’s
mentor.
Our source clarifies, “the events are connected. Prince is CIA,
but he probably stopped any coup attempt on Qatar. The CIA blocked the
coup in Qatar and the Saudis reacted by dumping the CIA selected
Mohammed bin Nayef, who was to be the next King. The Saudis are scared.
The monarchy is in trouble as the CIA can move the army in Saudi Arabia
against the king. This was a defensive move by MBS.” The source adds, “MBS is failing everywhere.
The source is adamant that, “it is very
possible the CIA will move against the monarchy in Saudi Arabia.” That
would qualify as the war between President Trump and selected sectors
of the US deep state reaching a whole new level.
And to add to the charade, there’s the Jared of Arabia factor.
There's no way any serious inside player would confirm anything
about the (aborted) coup in Qatar. But if that coup attempt really
happened, and was squashed, Jared Kushner may have had
inside information, considering his connections.According to the source, “Jared Kushner is essentially bankrupt at 666 Fifth Avenue, and needs Saudi financial help.
The BND memo detailed how the House of Saud,
in Syria, bankrolled the creation of the Army of Conquest – basically a
revamp of Jabhat al-Nusra, a.k.a. al-Qaeda in Syria — as well
as ideological sister outfit Ahrar al-Sham. Translation; the House
of Saud aiding, abetting and weaponizing Salafi-jihadi terrorism. And
this from a regime that now charges Qatar of doing the same (Doha
supported different outfits).
In
Yemen, the BND worried that MBS’s war against the Houthis and the
Yemeni Army was only profiting al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
Now MBS’s war – conducted with American and British weapons — has also
provoked a horrendous humanitarian catastrophe.
How come an arrogant, sloppy, hubristic ignoramus like MBS has come
so close to set the whole of Southwest Asia on fire? And not only
Southwest Asia; waves of despair are flowing in Western investment
circles to the effect that MBS is such a loose cannon his actions will
destroy retirement accounts all over the spectrum. Quite a few other princes are more competent
that MBS. Nayef, who spent a long time in the Interior Ministry, was the
Saudi counterterrorism czar (thus being a CIA darling). There’s Mitab
bin Abdullah, minister of the Saudi Arabian National Guard; notorious
Prince Turki, former intel chief, former ambassador to the US, and
former best pal of Osama bin Laden; and Khaled bin Faisal, governor
of Mecca and former education minister.

Iran Preparing to Publish Evidence US Supporting ISIS
US seeks to ‘milk’ terrorism sponsor Saudi Arabia – Iran's Revolutionary Guard
By RTJune 22, 2017 "Information Clearing House" - As the US influence in the Middle East wanes, it increasingly associates itself with dictatorships like Saudi Arabia, whose “dark face” and “role in supporting terrorism is known to everyone in the region,” a high ranking Iranian Revolutionary Guard official told RT.The United States and President Trump in particular consider only one “dimension” of convergence with Saudi Arabia, ignoring the “ideological and intellectual” challenges and costs such ties entail, media adviser to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Commander-in-Chief Hamid Reza Moghadam Far told RT in an exclusive interview.“That was one of Trump’s senseless moves. He was just seeking to milk this cow and thinking about only business,” Moghadam Far said.
“The first challenge is that Trump goes to such a country as his first trip after being elected… That is the behavior shown towards a dictatorial regime in which democracy is meaningless and no elections take place and the people have no presence on the scene. The next challenge is that they claim that they are combatting terrorism. It is no secret that Saudi Arabia has provided the most support for terrorism.”The recent naming of Mohammed bin Salman as Saudi Arabia’s new crown prince might be another “outcome of Trump’s visit” amidst internal disputes among Saudi princes and with other Arab countries.
“This replacement is one of the internal political impacts of the [Trump’s] visit on Saudi Arabia. I mean the replacement of the crown prince. But Saudi Arabia is facing certain conditions today that I think the development would create further problems for the country,” Moghadam Far said, pointing out that this decision would hardly be beneficial for the Saudi people. While the appointment might push Saudi Arabia into further radicalization, it would unlikely lead to an armed conflict with Iran, Moghadam Far believes, as the Saudi army is “not fit for military action.”
“There is no possibly of conflict. Today many Arab countries are complaining about Saudi Arabia’s inexperienced and radical moves. They consider Saudi Arabia as callow,” Moghadam Far told RT.“A number of inexperienced people who are ruling Saudi Arabia lack the resolve and determination to initiate a war on Iran. They lack the courage and power. I do not think they will come up with such conclusion, even if all global powers support them.”
Saudi Arabia’s policies in the Middle East only bring instability to the region and its alliance with the US only diminishes the already dwindling American power and influence, Moghadam Far believes.

“[The US policies] definitely have a negative effect. What matters more, however, is that the US is not as influential a player as it used to be and it can no longer manipulate regional equations. Today, it does not enjoy such a sway at all and its influence in the region has waned,” Moghadam Far said.“It now has to associate with countries like Saudi Arabia whose negative role in supporting terrorism, whose dictatorship, and whose dark face is known to everyone in the region.”Tehran’s recent Iranian missile attack on Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) terrorists in Syria should have weakened the resolve of the Saudis and other powers to go to war with Iran. A key “message” of the attack was to clearly demonstrate Iranian military capabilities to those who doubted them, Moghadam Far said.“In the past, when these missiles were test-fired in Iran, the US and certain western countries used to usually announce that Iran was lying that its launches had been successful and tried to create this impression that Iranians do not have such a capability and their missiles cannot strike their targets with precision,” he said. The strike also demonstrated Iran’s resolve to fight terrorism, rubbishing usual US accusations that Tehran supports terrorist elements.
“As in the past, whenever Americans want to mount pressure on Iran, impose new sanctions and proceed with an issue in the region and beyond, [the US] accuse Iran of backing terrorism,” Moghadam Far said.“But I think that today’s conditions are such that the world’s public opinion does not accept this. The world has come to realize that the US, despite leading a coalition against [IS] and terrorism in Syria and Iraq, Syria in particular, does not fight terrorism in practice and is in fact is supporting it… They cannot both take an opposite stance against terrorism and accuse Iran.”

Former U.S. Treasury Official Dr. Paul Craig Roberts Warns Black Swans Will Engulf The World: “It’s A Perfect Storm”
May 29, 2015
With
people around the world worried about the escalating crisis in Greece
and conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine, today former U.S. Treasury
official, Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, warned King World News that we are in
danger of black swans engulfing the world. He then cautioned, “It's a perfect storm.”
Dr. Paul Craig Roberts: “The
United States is declining very rapidly, and when the match is lit the
thing is going to go up in an inferno because there are just too many
unsupportable values in bonds, stocks, currencies, and in political
credibility….

Devastating Consequences And The End Of Gold And Silver Price Suppression
“If
we officially get a recession, is that a black swan? If the Fed
responds by saying, ‘Oh, thank God, now we can print even more money
because we’ve got another recession,’ can they continue to suppress the
gold and silver prices with naked short selling, with another outpouring
of paper fiat money? I doubt it.
I
think that things are going to begin winding down and it could happen
very abruptly. But again, Eric, I’ve been surprised that such an
unbalanced policy could continue as long as it has without devastating
consequences.”
Eric
King: “Because you were called in along with others to save the United
States from collapse when President Reagan came into office, as you
watch us push closer and closer to the wall that Austrian economics
warns us not to approach, if you had to speculate, what is going to
begin to cause this whole (Ponzi scheme) to collapse?”
Dr. Roberts: “Well
actually, Eric, we’ve climbed over that wall that the Austrians warned
us against. (LAUGHTER). We’re not just getting close to it, we’ve
already climbed over it.
I
think we’ve miscalculated in thinking, Eric, that we could have Russia
and China as vassal states. They’re not going to be vassal states.
Therefore, this realization on the part of Europe could affect Europe’s
toleration of their own vassalage to the United States. They (Europeans) could decide:
“Look
at all the risk that we’ve been pushed into by Washington: Risk of
conflict with Russia, the breakup of our very profitable economic
relationships with Russia, and the renewal of the Cold War with Russia,
which we suffered under during (virtually) the entire 20th century until
Reagan ended it. Now look, the bastards have brought it back. Why did
Washington do this?”
The End Of The American Empire
You
could see the empire disintegrate. All it takes is one European country
to leave the EU and NATO and the American empire ends. That’s all it
takes. Now we see who that could be — it could be Greece.
We’ve
talked about this before. If the Greeks say, ‘Look, our European
partners don’t give a damn about us; they're going to press us into the
ground. So we’re defaulting,’ and then they turned to Russia, that’s
the end of the American empire.
This Thing Can Blow Up At Any Time
So
then you have to ask yourself, ‘Why didn’t Washington, which is so
empire-crazed, tell the EU, ‘Leave Greece alone’? Or why didn’t the Fed
just print the money to bail out Greece? If they will print the money
to bail out JP Morgan, Citibank, Goldman Sachs and the British banks,
why can’t they print the money to bail out Greece and get rid of the
problem? That just shows how stupid they are. They get more pleasure
out of oppressing people, in this case the Greeks, than they do in
saving their own empire. So this thing can blow up at any time.
Do
you remember when we were assured that the invasion of Iraq was a
three-week war that would cost $70 billion, paid for out of Iraqi oil
revenues? That was 14 years ago. According
to Joseph Stiglitz, a Nobel Laureate in economics, and Linda Bilmes, a
budget expert at Harvard University, the minimum cost of the Iraq War is
$3 trillion. What kind of total failure is this? Any private firm
whose management produced a disaster like this, every one of them would
be fired and sued. And yet the people responsible are still
(considered) respectable.
The
scariest thing about the United States is the complete absence of any
competent leadership. There’s not a single competent leader in the
political system. And
if you look at the people who are announced as contenders for the
presidential nomination in the next election, you are looking at a
gaggle of maniacs. These are people who haven’t got enough sense to be
let out of the house on their own. And this is a superpower — ruled by
idiots! This is the danger. And this is why I don’t think the United
States has a future.
Black Swans Will Engulf The World
So the whole thing is a disaster. It (financial collapse) is
going to happen. There’s no way to stop it from happening. We (now)
have a perfect situation for black swans (to engulf the world) — it’s a
perfect storm.” ***The written piece above is just a small portion of the incredible audio interview with Dr. Paul Craig Roberts. KWN has now released the audio where

Germany & France Quietly Building EU Army
Germany & France Quietly Building EU Army
By PNW Staff June 23, 2017 Share this article:
Slowly and quietly the countries of the European Union are building
an integrated military force that will soon be a European Union
military in all but name.
Britain has
long-maintained its preference for NATO over an EU force and has used
its influence to block any moves towards a common European armed
forces.
But with Brexit now a reality, there
seems to be little standing in the way of the ambitions of France and
Germany to lead the EU to realize its ambition of marshalling its own
army.
Rather than a single, open political
movement in favor of a common EU army, several member states have taken
incremental steps to consolidate specific units, divert defense funds
into sequestered accounts and create new coordinated command
structures.
Language, finances and national
sentiment have promise to be obstacles to a single-force structure, but
these too are being faced down by French and German initiatives as a
host of other European nations follow their lead.
Coordination
The
European Union is, despite the intentions of those in Brussels, a union
of separate and distinct nationalities, governments, languages and
militaries.
The first and most basic challenge that any proposal for a
unified military will face is that of coordination among different
command structures. For the first time, the EU created in March a joint
military command center.
It is more akin to a
proof-of-concept effort at this point, as its only mission is
coordinating training missions in Africa (Somalia, Mali and the Central
African Republic).
The headquarters will act
as a model, however, for larger future centralized command centers
capable of coordinating large-scale military campaigns.
Other
coordinated efforts from Europe include the Nordic Battle Group
comprised of a mix of Baltic and Nordic states and the Britain's own
Joint Expeditionary Force.
The Nordic Battle
Group is only 2,400 strong but the experience gained from coordinating
such a collection of nations will be invaluable for the project of
larger European military integration.
Funding
The
second major obstacle is funding both of national militaries and of a
joint European force. A newly proposed European Defense Fund would
gather financial support for military research and armament from member
nations and is projected to begin with a modest funding goal of 3.5
billion Euros from the 19 countries now supporting the proposal.
The
countries, which include France, Germany, Italy and Spain, would also
benefit from sharing research and resources that would otherwise be
duplicated across 19 national systems.
Jean-Claude
Juncker, the President of the European Commission, told the German news
site Salzburg.com that "A European army is not a project for the near
future.
It is, however, a project that would
give additional weight to the European foreign and security policy. Even
though the road may still be long, we could already focus our strengths
better."
The politicians at the head of the EU
understand that small steps are necessary to create a common military
over the nationalist sentiments of the European people.
The
Cooperative Financial Mechanism, or CFM, could begin drawing funds from
the 19 countries as early as 2018, but if successful will be just the
first step towards a common financial base for the European military.
Integration
Coordinating
military campaigns from separate national militaries and starting to
form a common defense fund are both incremental steps towards a EU
military, but true integration is also now underway through the German
Army, the Bundeswehr.
In what amounts to a
group of mini-armies under the command of the Bundeswehr, the
Netherlands, Romania and the Czech Republic have all integrated
brigade-level forces with Germany. The program is known as the Framework
Nations Concept.
In the case of Romania, it is
the 81st Mechanized Brigade which will join Germany's Rapid Response
Forces Division. The Czech Republic's 4th Rapid Deployment Brigade,
considered the elite frontline force of their army, is now set to
integrate into the Germans' 10th Armored Division.
After
selling off all their tanks, the Dutch military integrated one of their
brigades into Germany's 10th Armored Division as well as combining
another brigade with Germany's Rapid Deployment Brigade.
Although
no separate military force was created that would fly the EU flag on
the battlefield, the result is the same as each member state slowly
begins to integrate one brigade at a time into a common armed forces
system, all under one command.
In this manner, there has been very little objection and most haven't even noticed the change.
At the same time, the German military is growing both in size
and funding levels. Since 2014, the Bundeswehr has seen its funding
increased by 4.2 percent and this is projected to grow an incredible 8
percent this year.
As the overall cost-savings
become clear for EU nations, it is likely that more countries will
choose to integrate into the larger military force commanded by Germany.
Europe
faces historic threats to its existence that range from financial, with
the slow collapse of both the euro and the socialist model, to
cultural, with the immense wave of immigration.
Russian
aggression and the dangers of Islamic terrorism also wait at Europe's
doorstep. All of these factors are likely to push the continent closer
to a common European military in the coming years, especially without
the counterweight of Britain to argue the case for NATO.
Will
a fully unified EU someday soon be defended by a military to rival that
of the United States in size, capability and cohesion? The bureaucrats
in Brussels would like nothing more.
