February 3, 2009 -- U.S. judge's firm has significant connections to terrorism investigations

The U.S. Judge who prosecuted former Alabama Democratic Governor Don Siegelman, Mark Fuller of the Middle District of Alabama, was previously reported by WMR on September 10, 2007. WMR reported: "Fuller's Financial Disclosure Statement for 2005 lists Oceaneering, Inc. as a company in which Fuller maintained an interest although he lists his income from the stock as 'none.'"

Oceaneering has been involved in the salvaging of a number of ships and airplanes. Some of the wreckage and evidence Oceaneering has collected puts Fuller in a much greater conflict-of-interest with regard to potential legal cases than even his financial interests in various defense contractors. Fuller's Air Force links to Boeing are paricularly egregious since Oceaneering has been involved in the salvaging the wreckage of a number of Boeing passenger aircraft.

Among the salvage operations performed by Oceaneering was the 1981 diving operation on the wreckage of the Italian liner SS Andrea Doria, which collided with the M/S Stockholm on July 25, 1956, off of Nantucket.

Oceaneering's Steadfast Search Division was contracted to the Naval Sea Systems Command to locate the cargo door of United Airlines Flight 811 bound from Honolulu to Auckland, New Zealand on February 24, 1989. Nine passengers were swept out of the Boeing 747 to their deaths. The blown off cargo door tore out a section of the plane's fuselage.

Fuller's Oceaneering firm was also used to salvage the wreckage of Aero Peru Flight 603, a Boeing 757 that crashed in the Pacific Ocean on October 2, 1996.

The firm's Upper Marlboro, Maryland unit was called into service to salvage the wreckage of Swissair 111, an MD-11 that crashed on September 2, 1998, off Nova Scotia en route from New York to Geneva. The flight was dubbed the "UN flight" because it carried a number of passengers between the UN headquarters in New York and UN agencies and offices in Geneva. On board the aircraft were Jonathan Mann, the former head of the World Health Organization's AIDS program, Mann's wife; and Pierce Gerety, the UN igh Commissioner for Refugees director for the Great Lakes Region of Africa who was on a special mission for Secretary General Kofi Annan to negotiate an end to the Congolese war between President Laurent Kabila and invading troops from Rwanda and Uganda. Priceless artwork of Pablo Picasso was also lost on the flight.

Oceaneering was tapped again to locate the wreckage of EgyptAiir 990, en route from New York to Cairo on October 31, 1999. The Boeing 767 crashed south of Nantucket island after take off from JFK airport. Certain Western news media tried to advance the story that there was a struggle between Captain Mahmoud el-Habashy and relief crew First Gameel Al-Batouti for control of the aircraft, with Batouti allegedly crashing the plane on purpose in a suicide mission. These allegations surfaced because Al-Batouti was recorded on the flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder as saying "I rely on God." Several Egyptian newspapers reported that EgyptAir 990 crashed as the result of a Mossad/CIA conspiracy. There may be some substance to these allegations. WMR was informed by a knowledgeable source that what Habashy and Batouti were contending with as they tried to pull the aircraft out of a dive into the ocean was an external system that had overridden the Boeing's controls as a test dry run for a similar control override action on four "hijacked" Boeing aircraft on September 11, 2001. American Airlines Flight 11 that crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center and United Flight 175 that crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center were Boeing 767s. United Flight 93 and American Flight 77 were Boeing 757s.

Fuller's firm was also involved in salvage operations for the crashed wreckage of TWA 800, a Boeing 747 that crashed on July 17, 1996, off Long Island after take-off from New York's JFK bound for Paris. The FBI has been accused of engaging in a massive cover-up of the circumstances surrounding the crash o the aircraft and suppressing evidence that would suggest that a surface-launched missile hit the aircraft. The crash occurred shortly before the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta and any suggestion that a domestically-launched terrorist attack was involved in TWA 800's crash would have resulted in a black eye for the Clinton administration before the entire world.

Oceaneering's Maryland unit was also involved in locating the British bulk carrier Derbyshire that vanished during a typhoon in the Pacific on September 9,1980.

Oceaneering has been the subject of previous WMR reports on the firm's long-standing links with U.S. intelligence.

On August 21, 2005, WMR reported: "The Bush family off-shore money tranches originated with gold bars and jewels spirited out of the Philippines upon the overthrow of Ferdinand Marcos in 1986. The Marcos fortune was the price exacted by Vice President Bush for his being granted asylum in Hawaii. The gold bars were transported from the Philippines to the International Diamond Exchange Vaults near Rockefeller Center. A CIA proprietary firm called Oceaneering International of Houston procured barges to move some of the gold from secured warehouses to a specially-configured Boeing 747 which then flew the cargo to New York Oceaneering sealifted the remaining gold to Oregon. After George W. Bush's victory in 2000, the last of the gold and jewels stored in New York was moved to UBS Bank in Zurich. Marcos and Saudi billionaire Adnan Khashoggi set about to create Five Star Trust in 1983 as a means to create a vehicle to use the Philippine wealth to create and funnel fungible assets abroad. In 1989, Five Star Trust was officially established in the Isle of Man by a Houston-based attorney who was a close friend of the Bush family."
